My wife bought a Getz from Springfield Park Hyundai in Durban.
She paid over R1500 for a radio (normally R400 at Hi Fi Corp). Hyundai said that theirs was not a grey product! I even got a letter from HI FI Corp to prove that Hyundai were wrong. They then said that the harness was a custom one! They just could not justify this rip off!
They also after much moaning and groaning offered to replace the useless speakers which did not match the system. 2.5 years later we are still waiting for them to do this!
Then her brakes were binding badly! They refused to fix it under the guarantee saying that it was her bad driving and not their product. 6 months later they finally agreed and replaced the booster! Disgraceful! (This only after a mechanic had the car for a weekend for private use to test it)
Also be careful when doing a "free" service! They WILL find things that you have to pay for!
Then on her second last service they charged her for a pollen filter which they did not have in stock! She is still waiting..but now they say that they did put one in! Liers!
They then lost her car papers and when she needed the special polish that she had paid for, they said that she would have to pay again! But they lost the papers for this!!!
Anyway...her car was totalled in an accident recently and she now has a Chev Aveo and is very happy!
