I bought 6 x six-pack Fruits of the forest yoghurt from Pick & Pay.

It was all slobbery and watery. I lost my slips and P&P did not refund me. I emails Dairybelle 3 weeks ago, and they replied saying that they would send me a voucher. I am STILL waiting!

I have alot of bad experience with milks. Sometimes when we buy milk, it is rotten or tastes horrible.

I think I have definitely taken living in the States for granted...if we have groceries purchased that are spoiled, contaminated, whatever...we just take it right back and it's exchanged or refunded. Even so, I think I've only purchased stale food, not rotten milk or yogurt...

I feel for you guys...hopefully your voucher will arrive soon...

Thanks!
I lived in Europe for 10 years and worked in the hospitality industry! I leant SO much about food etc! For example, over there hot food may not be sold after 30 minutes after making it!
Here...well...if not sold today, maybe tomorrow!
Pick and Pay and Checkers are BIG culprits!
Reduce the price? NEVER!
Another example of these two huge companies...
CROSS POLINATION of germs!
They will have chicken, fish, meats, potato chips, veggies all in the same Baine Marie! While serving, gravy and other bits drop onto the other products, i.e. cross polination!
In Europe, you are not even allowed to keep chicken or fish in the same refrigerator as other foods! Then there are strict laws as to how you store foods! Here...anything goes!

BUT..Our government is more concerned about smoking laws! Of course they dont tell you that they permit the poisons to be added to the tobacco to preserve it longer prior to manufacture of cigarettes! Then the "normal" air that we breathe? Well I wont even bother going into that one!

We have the same in the states with regards to not storing seafood and meats in the same cooler at the markets. And everything has an expiration date. As the food gets closer to expiring, it's separated from the normal displays and marked down in price because if it's not sold, it must be discarded once expired.
Our restaurants have government ratings now. Depending on the cleanliness of the establishment it can receive anywhere from an A to a C. I think D ratings demand automatic closure until the offenses can be rectified. Do you have anything like that is SA?
