I live in Durban - and what a terrible city it is now!

Big potholes everywhere and no warning signs!
Filth and grime everywhere!
Pavements unkept and more!

City management are just not interested in how their negligence can affect your pocket!

Where are the Durban days under mayor Shearer when Durban was the jewel in the crown of all cities?

I Agree with you Mr. Chuck Robbie, Durban is really in a terrible state. When you go into the central Durban, all the hotels look like they have been standing there for more than a thousands years. There is soo much pollution around and sometimes the constant smell of pee in the air. If you ask me, it is really disguisting.

that's pretty gross Brandon. The smell of pee in the air? really vile...there are pockets in every city here where the homeless build small shacks and live the best they can. How did they end up there? don't know...i did see one homeless guy standing outside a convenience store just whip it out and start peeing right there on the street. Durban sounds pretty bad though. I hope changes will be instituted and the city can be cleaned up before it loses what remaining good citizens leave...then it will really get bad........

maybe it's time you guys found a new home...say here in the states? say...in California? say...in Glendale? well, there's much better neighborhoods...but nobody is peeing outside our area...except for me!!! hahaha...

There is alot of natural disasters there, one thing i can say, we don't have any here. Just with the government only ;)

Governments are natural disasters...even government...they are naturally incompetent - what a disaster! They are naturally very top heavy - what a disaster! The government sometimes looks out for the criminal instead of the victim - what a disaster!! I could go on and on but I'm a little sleepy at the moment. Too many late nights watching the news about all the natural disasters and stuff...friggin T.V.!

goverment employed them as a tourist attraction. many citizens have left and are leaving.
