Beware of Two White Men introducing themselves as bond originators and offering a home loan from a private investor for 5% below prime. They drive a Nissan x-trail
VJB 857 GP. The cell numbers they used 0744829762, 0840473603, 0760117401, 0829340464. Address used on fake CON-tract. 7 Plouvers Place Mirabel str Pretoria

The older man said his name is (probably fake) James Nehemiah Wright and younger overweight man Steven Fourie with long curly brown-red hair.

With the application of the loan they request a cash fee of R3500 and never to be heard of again. We are eleven friends and collogues who has fallen for this scam. (Through Word of Mouth) They appear extremely professional and well dressed. James even told us that he was an area manager for ABSA bank before he started working for this private investor.
Judging by the way they were acting this is probably not the first time they have done this and probably how they pay for the expensive suits and 4x4.

OMG Mielie this is terrible! Thanks for the advice.

People should also watch out for another scam about winning lotteries, e.g. the Microsoft lottery...it does not exist!
They ask for US$500 upfront to cover legal costs.

Another is that someone with your surname has died and left a fortune. Pay legal fees and claim it...trust me...you have no filthy rich relatives you never knew of before!

Internet scams are mostly run by Kenyans and people from the old eastern block...be very careful!

Buying on the internet...if a website does not have traceable addresses and tel numbers...do not bother! They DO have something to hide most of the time. I own 10 web sites and 3 dedicated servers and on ALL of them my full contact details are available...This does put ME at risk for spammers but at least any customer is assured that I am easily contactable.
If you want to buy on the internet, use PAYPAL...at least they will refund you and charge the supplier back! More than what can be said for our thieving bankers in South Africa! PAYPAL and MONEYBOOKERS are free!

If you want to receive money, you can do it through MONEYBOOKERS as Paypal is barred from sending money to South Africa. Once again, we are being proudly screwed by our banking institutions!!!

Well, I am studying in university and I need student loans/grant. Are there companies that will provide you with student loans/grants even if you're not going to university? The course I’d like to do is a 3 month full time make-up artistry course costing £6,000 and I was wondering if you can only get the student loan/grant if you're off to university. Can anyone shed any light on this for me please?

Beware of the same James Wright together with a gentleman Tertius van Aswegen (last mentioned does not talk much) approaching to buy your businees. They ask for R2500.00 for the contract fee and even come back the second day with the contract to be signed. Deposits are paid in by cheque andafter the 10 day waiting perion the cheque has not cleared. There may be another person involved by the surname of Kruger but cannot be traced. Wright uses the cell phone number 0722966903 and is known to the Wierdbrug police. If you have anythinh on him phone the Wierdabrug Police Station
