this was my response to tellus@sundaytimes.co.za with regards to the article young racists in cyberspace its short (well not too short) and to the point.
Get real People
“hi-tech form of apartheid” I mean please where in the world other than south Africa can people dream up a more silly term than that.
We can no longer walk in the streets at night anymore for fear of being robbed, raped or murdered because we are racists
We can no longer live in their own homes for fear of being robbed, raped or murdered because we are racists
We can no longer drive home without fear of being hijacked, raped or murdered because we are racists
We get called racists if we try and protect our loved ones from the criminal element
We are disarmed and it’s also near impossible to obtain a firearm license but criminals can obtain them without difficulty because we are racists
We have our families torn apart with crime yet we are still the racists
We have family raped, tortured, brutalized and murdered but we are still the racists
We have our possessions that we have worked for very hard taken away from us but still we are called racists
We rush to the aid of family who have been through a hellish ordeal and we are still called racists
We get called racists by those who come to our homes in the middle of the night “looking for work” (criminal activities)
We get called racist for trying to assert out human rights but the criminals hide behind the fence of human rights when we try and prosecute them
We get brutalized by cops when walking with a little puppy dog but still we are racists
We want freedom of speech and expression but even then we are labeled racists
We want equality but even then we get called racists
WHY is it that only the white people in SOUTH AFRICA are labeled RACISTS but the MAJORITY are not called RACISTS?
My answer is because they hide behind the fence of human rights something we seem to be losing rapidly
